Silencers

Silencers are validated in ANSYS – FEM, when the standard nozzle loads are exceeded.

The Integrity is ensured for safe load transfer by the customer piping.

On customer request it is also validated for environmental site conditions in ANSYS – FEM.

Transport acceleration can be validated in ANSYS – FEM.
The von misses stress is validated according to ASME Sec 2 D

Air Intake System

We use ICEM – CFD for robust meshing which is superior than other meshes for CFD.
We use ANSYS – FLUENT the industry standard for pressure drop checks
and vortices / re circulation are identified and eliminated in the design stage.

We also ensure by ANSYS FEM for the integrity of the mechanical parts &
proper functioning of the Air Intake system.

Exhaust Ducts

The design is validated for site condition using ANSYS – FEM.

The design is validated for

  1. Pressure loading
  2. Fatigue loading (Low cycle fatigue.)
  3. Thermal movements.
  4. Transport accelerations.

CFD Analysis

We use ICEM – CFD for robust meshing which is superior than other meshes for CFD.
ANSYS – FLUENT is being used for pressure drop checks.
The vortices / re circulation are identified and eliminated in the design stage.
This ensures proper functioning of the Exhaust system.

The velocity gradient change leading to white noise generation are checked here.

Staad Pro

Staad Pro is the industry leader in static steel structural analysis.
The deflection and utilisation ratio are checked against code requirements.

The Ram connection is integrated with Staad pro. Any changes to the
model are immediately validated for the joint connections.

Limcon the leader of joint connection is used to check slip critical connections.
It is also used to design base plates.

When any standard connection does not exist , ANSYS – FEM is used to
Validate the connection.

Naval application

We validate the steel structure against vibration.

Response spectrum is checked.

Check for natural frequencies & harmonics.

+/- 2g accelerations are checked for mechanical parts.

Detailed Shock Calculations are performed as per Naval Standards
